The beauty of ideas is that they aren’t eternal. They are destined to be replaced by new, different ideas. But without an old idea, a new one couldn’t come into being. Some last for a long time, others are so intense that the burn out quickly. All of them carry the seeds of previous inspiration, and those seeds tell you where they come from, reminding you of their origin, and that is the ground on which they grow.
Past ideas lull you into nostalgia in the evening; new ideas wake you in the morning.
